Functional Movement Exercise Programs
We use a functional fitness training approach to help our clients and patients achieve their fitness goals, whether they’re beginners or more experienced. This means we adopt a pragmatic approach to whole-body fitness. This approach strives for two things. First, we focus on natural movements that mimic how the body moves in real-world situations, providing functional strength and endurance that you can use. Second, for those who have fitness or recovery challenges, we use assistive training tools that help you acclimate to these movements. This gradual approach helps prevent both injury and the demotivating effects of being unable to complete some movements.
Weight Loss Training
Many of our clients and patients experience trouble losing weight. This is a frustrating challenge, as many people who have this difficulty exert tremendous effort and willpower on exercise and dieting without seeing results. While this is often related to complex nutritional issues (which we can help with via our functional medicine programs), the right approach to exercise is also critical. Our weight loss training plans gradually acclimate you to a series of functional movements in a manner that provides a starting point for any fitness level and boosts rather than depletes energy while helping you jumpstart your metabolism.
Injury Training Recovery
As exercise physiologists and chiropractors operating in an integrative health practice, we are quite familiar with rehab exercise, including physical therapy exercises and training programs. And we know how scary and frustrating recovery can be. You don’t know how long you’ll be in recovery, how hard it will be, or how painful it will be. Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury, accident injury, or repetitive movement injury, we can help you recover. And we can do so in a way that minimizes pain and maximizes the body’s healing abilities without overloading it and diverting energy from recovery. Our functional exercise approach utilizes physical therapy training techniques to gradually acclimate your body to challenging movements while preventing injury through assistive tools.
